K. M. Enright

K. M. Enright writes stories where court intrigue, dangerous magic, and forbidden love entwine in worlds that are as perilous as they are alluring. His debut, Mistress of Lies, introduced readers to Shan LeClaire, a blood mage turned spymaster whose ambition is matched only by her secrets. Blending gothic atmosphere with sharp political drama, the novel struck a chord and became a Sunday Times bestseller, marking Enright as an exciting new voice in romantic fantasy.

Before stepping fully into authorship, Enright worked within the publishing world as both an editor and agent, experiences that sharpened his understanding of story craft. Today, his fiction thrives on morally complex characters, lush world-building, and the tension between love and betrayal. With Lord of Ruin set to follow in 2025, he continues to expand a saga where every choice can topple kingdoms and every romance carries the weight of survival.

Beyond writing, he lives in New Jersey with his husband and their black cat, Zuko. When he isn’t shaping new rebellions on the page, he’s as likely to be immersed in video games, experimenting in the kitchen, or rewatching his favorite Broadway musicals. His Filipino-American heritage and wide-ranging influences lend his work a unique texture, ensuring his brand of romantasy feels both intimate and epic.

For readers drawn to stories of blood mages, dark bargains, and love tested against impossible odds, K. M. Enright’s books open the door to a world where shadows burn bright with passion.
