Gina LaManna

Gina LaManna’s writing journey is one that blends unexpected turns and delightful twists, much like the cozy mysteries and romantic suspense she expertly weaves. Hailing from St. Paul, Minnesota, her early career took a more logical route with a degree in actuarial science, but Gina quickly realized that her heart lay not in numbers, but in stories. After leaving behind the world of multiple-choice tests, she dove into the unpredictable realm of writing—where, it turns out, she’s been flourishing ever since.

Her works, which span more than 70 books across 13 different series, are best known for their mix of suspense, humor, and heart. Whether it’s the fast-paced action of Detective Kate Rosetti Mysteries or the entertaining chaos of Lacey Luzzi Mafia Mysteries, Gina has a knack for making readers smile, even in the most unpredictable of situations. Under the pen name Libby LaManna, she even crafts stories for younger readers, bringing her quirky sense of adventure to characters like Mini Pie the Spy, an overenthusiastic detective who’s always on the lookout for new mysteries to solve.

Her debut novel, Sprinkled, hit shelves in 2014, marking the beginning of a prolific career. With each new book, she’s managed to create worlds that readers want to visit again and again, capturing everything from the sweetness of a cappuccino foam swirl to the thrill of an unexpected plot twist. Gina’s writing is deeply influenced by her love of J.K. Rowling, Liane Moriarty, and Nora Roberts, pulling elements of wit, mystery, and heart into stories that feel like old friends—always leaving a lasting impression.

Though Gina has lived in a variety of places, from Italy to Los Angeles, she’s now based near the beach, where she enjoys marathons (of both the running and reading variety) and the occasional cup of whipped cream topped with a side of inspiration. Whether you’re picking up her latest release, Hate Hex, or revisiting an old favorite, you can count on Gina’s stories to offer a perfect blend of thrills and charm.

For those who love to get lost in a good book, Gina LaManna is an author who promises a captivating, fun, and always heartfelt escape.
