Briar Boleyn

Briar Boleyn writes darkly enchanting fantasy romance that sweeps readers into worlds of magic, intrigue, and forbidden love. As the pen name of USA TODAY bestselling author Fenna Edgewood, Briar crafts stories that blur the lines between passion and peril, weaving complex characters and richly detailed worlds where danger lurks in the shadows, and love never comes without sacrifice.

Born and raised in Canada, Briar’s love for the fantastical began at an early age, inspired by the folklore and legends of her homeland. This early fascination with magical realms led her to develop an unmistakable voice that blends sensual romance with captivating fantasy. Her debut series, Blood of a Fae, has been lauded for its immersive world-building, strong-willed protagonists, and steamy yet tender romances that set hearts aflame. Her books aren’t just tales of love; they are emotional journeys where every victory is hard-won, and every betrayal stings.

Briar’s writing is deeply influenced by her affinity for role-playing games, where complex worlds are brought to life and characters grow and evolve in ways that are as unpredictable as they are compelling. This influence is evident in her books, where magical systems and deep lore are as important as the relationships that drive her stories forward. Briar believes that a great story should keep readers on the edge of their seats, caught between the magic of the world and the intensity of the emotions at its core.

Away from her writing desk, Briar is an avid birdwatcher, a lover of cozy nooks, and a lifelong fan of RPG video games. These passions often inspire the subtle nuances of the settings in her books, where nature and magic intertwine in ways that feel both grounded and extraordinary.

Her writing journey has not only led to a growing fan base but also a series of books that resonate with readers looking for something deeper—stories that touch on vulnerability, power, and the complexities of human emotion. Briar’s fans can expect more to come, including her highly anticipated release, The Wings That Bind, set for June 2025, promising even more twists, turns, and heart-stopping romance.

Briar Boleyn’s stories are for anyone who believes in the transformative power of love, the thrill of adventure, and the beauty of a world that is just as broken as it is magical.
