The City of Ghosts

Barrow Larkin serves as a vagabond, roaming the empire helping those who’ve lodged a request with the guild. It’s the perfect cover for someone hunting down a particular group of soldiers who murdered hundreds of innocent people for a reason he still can’t decipher. His search has taken him far and wide―and most recently to Riverscape, one of the largest towns in the empire and home to the five families who maintain the emperor’s control over his subjects.

But when Barrow discovers his lead has mysteriously fled the city, he enlists a group of trusted friends to find him and hopefully get to the truth of what happened. Unfortunately, he fled to the one place Barrow doesn’t want to go, the final resting place of his mother: the City of Ghosts.

The City of Ghosts is the first book in a new epic fantasy thriller series from the bestselling author of the Hellequin Chronicles.
