About the Book
Some threats can’t be arrested. Only eliminated.
When an undercover surveillance operation erupts into a brutal shootout, Peter Black finds himself standing among the dead—his team shattered, innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire, and a key suspect lost forever.
Officially, the case is over.
Unofficially, something far more dangerous has just begun.
Across the criminal underworld, a ruthless new player is rising. Joseph Frost is young, charismatic, and rapidly consolidating control of the international arms trade. Wherever Frost moves, bodies follow—and behind him walks a ghostlike assassin known only as Cole.
A spirit of the underworld, Cole is a man without allegiance, feared even by the criminals who employ him.
Forced into a dangerous alliance with a man who may be more monster than ally, Peter follows the trail deeper into Frost’s expanding empire—where betrayal runs through both the criminal world and the intelligence services meant to stop it.
But as Frost’s true ambitions begin to emerge, Peter realizes the weapons being gathered are meant for something far greater than profit.
To stop what’s coming, he may have no choice but to trust the deadliest man he’s ever hunted.
