About the Book
An Egyptian sorceress must remember her true identity or suffer at the hands of those who want her dead.
A mummy attack on the Egyptian exhibits at the city’s museum, causes twenty-year-old Noellia Taviani to discover her entire life has been a lie. She is not a mortal, but a sorceress and princess from the realm of Avagodro, a parallel universe to Ancient Egypt.
With no recollection of her past, Noellia is dragged into this mysterious world, and comes to terms with her real name Sapphora. Charged with treason against the crown and failure to fulfill a prophecy, she finds herself sentenced to Salutem, where she must learn her craft to protect herself from those who seek to destroy her.
One of those people is The Nefarious Pharaoh who has escaped from his prison in the Duaat and seeks to take over the throne. In order to save the realm and her family, Sapphora must navigate through a series of death challenges created by the Ancient Gods to retrieve a sacred spellbook. She must do so before her twenty-first birthday on the Winter Solstice or all will be lost.
As Sapphora continues to unravel the secrets of her life, she struggles with her feelings for an Egyptian God, whose charming nature burns through every warning she receives about falling in love with mythical deities.
Shards of Secrecy is Book #1 of The Sapphora Series, an Egyptian Mythology / Sorcery themed collection.
