History
Risingshadow was founded by Mika Salovaara, also known as Darkki, in 1996. Initially, the content focused on listing newly translated fantasy books. As a discussion section was introduced, the user base expanded. The current address, Risingshadow.net, was established in 2001.
The site's maintenance is facilitated by volunteers, including administrators and moderators. Administrators oversee the overall functioning of the site, while moderators monitor discussions and update content. The tasks are distributed seamlessly, and everyone contributes to the development and operation of Risingshadow.
Additionally, members have the opportunity to actively participate in site maintenance by suggesting missing books. This collaborative approach enhances the platform's comprehensiveness, allowing the community to contribute to the continuous improvement of Risingshadow.
